Why the watermark is a problem
TikTok's built-in save button is convenient, but it bakes a bouncing watermark and the creator's username into the bottom of the clip. That is fine for casual viewing, but it gets in the way fast when you want a clean copy for a presentation, a personal archive, a meme edit, a social repost you have permission for, or just to send to a friend on WhatsApp.

On iPhone the MP4 lands in your Photos app. On Android it goes into the Downloads folder. On desktop it saves to your default download location.
Responsible use
A clean copy of a TikTok is just a file. Using it for personal viewing, offline archiving, or content you have explicit permission to reuse is fine. Re-uploading someone else's video to your own account without credit is not, even if the watermark is removed.
